Clickbank is a large affiliate marketing marketplace. The
number of products which you can promote fluctuates, but when choosing a niche,
it is recommended to choose something that you are interested in.
But before you start looking for products you need to create
a Clickbank account. This is a simple process of filling in your contact
details, financial details, and then creating a username and password.
Unfortunately for some people their countries are blacklisted.
If you can’t create an account for some reason, try emailing Customer Support
and tell them that you have an email list and you intend to promote Clickbank
products to your list as well as blogging.
The other thing to take notice of is whether there at least
5 products that you can promote. Unless you decide to do affiliate marketing
without a website or email list, you will soon run out of content if you are
promoting one or two products.
Read my blog post – Affiliate Marketing Without A Website
Using an example for this blog post – select E-business and
E-marketing, and then Affiliate Marketing.
Under the Results bar, you will see the title: E-business
and E-marketing: Affiliate Marketing.
This category has 10 pages and 94 products.
A good way to find whether a product will sell is to select
the ‘Gravity’ metric from the drop-down list. This is a score that tells us
whether the product is selling or not. A high gravity score of anything from 80
and above means that it is a hot product.
But what you need to work out is whether you like any of the
products. If you don’t like the product you will have a hard time promoting it
with whatever method, you choose.
What you need to do is click on some of the product titles
and view the sales pages of the products and see whether the products are
appealing.
Once you find a product you like, you need to look for a
link in the description on Clickbank for the ‘Affiliate’s Page’.
The Affiliate’s Page will provide you with banners for
advertising, email swipes to send to your email list, and how many products are
in the sales funnel, as well as, how much you can potentially earn.
If they don’t provide an affiliate page, it is best to skip
this product unless you are confident that you can write email swipes yourself.
Once you have chosen a product click the ‘Promote’ button
and get your hop link. This Clickbank’s code to identify you as the affiliate
that is promoting that product.
The next thing to do is to click on the copy button to copy
this link and paste it on a notepad application.
If you wish you can use a link shortener. But http://bitly.com and tinyurl.com are blacklisted by
most autoresponders and Facebook.
The solution is to link to a blog page from
Facebook and use the full link in your email autoresponder messages or link to
the blog post. It is likely that your subscribers will need to be presold
before they buy as the sales page is not always enough to get the sale.
If you are promoting the products on your blog, you may want
to right click the banner images and save image as, or copy the banner image
code, as well as copying the email swipes to note pad to email your email list
later.
Do this for the other products that you intend to promote as
well.
Conclusion
Finding a niche to promote on Clickbank is fairly
straightforward.
You need to first find an interest, select a category or
sub-niche that has at least 5 products, read the sales page, look for the
affiliate page, work out whether you want to promote the products, and then
click the promote button.
Watch the video to be shown how to do this.
